Preview: Experience China 2025 - Yeah-CHN Global Youth Development Programme

Building on the success of previous editions, the Yeah-CHN Global Youth Development Programme continues to empower young leaders worldwide to experience China’s vibrant culture, cutting-edge innovation, and rich traditions. Through this initiative, global students deepen their understanding of China, engage in meaningful exchanges with Chinese youth, and bring the story of China to the world.

In 2024, the programme welcomed nearly 70 outstanding participants from renowned universities in the UK, USA, Australia, and New Zealand, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, and Yale. Over 12 days, the students explored China through five pillars: Sporting Events, Cultural Experiences, Academic Dialogues, Youth Exchanges, and Cultural Envoys.

Key Highlights from 2024:

• Sporting Spirit: Participants competed alongside Chinese students in the 11th International Universities Rowing Regatta, fostering camaraderie and showcasing perseverance.
• Cultural Connection: Immersive experiences like Sichuan cuisine workshops and visits to the Sanxingdui Museum highlighted China's historical richness and modern charm.
• Academic Exchange: At Southwest Jiaotong University, students marveled at China's advancements in high-speed rail technology, exchanging ideas on global innovation.
• Community and Youth Engagement: Visits to local schools and communities provided a glimpse into the everyday lives of Chinese youth and families, fostering mutual understanding and lifelong friendships.

The 2024 programme reached millions worldwide through extensive media coverage, sparking global interest in China’s modern advancements and cultural heritage. Participants left inspired, expressing their desire to return to China for future opportunities.

Looking Ahead to 2025
The next programme will feature six categories—Sporting Events, Cultural Connection, Academic Dialogue, Community Experience, Corporate Networking, and Cultural Envoy—with expanded scale and enriched content. While specific activities will differ, our mission remains steadfast: to empower global youth to explore China’s vibrant traditions and modern advancements, fostering mutual understanding and lasting international connections.
